General information

The Second convocation of Sidho-Kanho-Birsha University will be held on 15th February, 2018. The students who have successfully completed their course of study in 2016 are the recipients of degrees in the second convocation. But on the day of convocation only the registered Gold medalists i.e. the 1st rank holders of the master degree courses and the some of the Undergraduate courses will receive their degree certificates and the medals. Medal will be awarded to the rank holders of the UG Courses only if there was atleast 100 passed out students in 2016. The other recipients of master degrees will get their degree certificates from the office of Controller of Examinations (2nd floor of Administrative building). The degree certificates of the recipients of Bachelor degree(including B.Ed) will be issued from their respective colleges. The certificate distribution schedule will be informed in this site.

For attending the convocation ceremony or receiving the degree on the convocation dias, Gold medalists are required to register themself by depositing Rs 50/-(personally) at the university cash counter along with the following documents:

  1. An application in plain paper to The Regisrar
  2. Photocopy of Last Marksheet, Registration Certificate, Photo ID Card

Only the Gold medalists and their parents will be allowed to enter in the hall. Invitation card/ admission card holders are only be allowed to the convocation venue.Therefore recipients are required to collect admission card/Invitation Card from the university as per schedule.

KIDS are not allowed in the venue.

Dress Code

The recipients are required to follow the dress code strictly for attending the ceremony.

Male Candidates : Black/Dark colored Trousers, White full-sleeves Shirt

Female Candidates : Plain White Sari with atleast 2” border (coloured)

Collection and Return of University Robe

The registered recipients will collect their robe for receiving the degree on dias from designated counter at the convocation venue as per schedule given below. After the end of the convocation ceremony student must return the robe in the same counter. Recipients are required to deposit his/her I-card to collect robe.

Collection of robe: 10 am on 15th February, 2018

Return of robe: Within 30 minutes after the closing of convocation ceremony.

Do's and Don'ts

Do's

  1. Come without bag, mobile, camera. University will arrange for photography which may be collected by the students from this website.
  2. Sit at designated place.
  3. Occupy your seat by the scheduled time.
  4. Stand when the academic procession is entering or leaving the hall.
  5. Follow the instructions of the volunteers.

Don'ts

  1. Discussion or Chatting with others
  2. Carrying food or water in the hall
